Does anyone use the calendar feature in their Hubs?

    Crap

    Monday, May 19, 2008, 06:59 AM [General]

I thought I would be clever and redo the categories for the groups, so they could be sorted more sensibly, which worked great. There are now a much more suitable selection of categories to choose from when creating a new group.

But it seems that you cannot CHANGE the category for any existing groups, meaning all our current groups are now category-less. I am going to contact support and see if I can get that fixed so you can all file your groups properly.

    Great New Changes

    Saturday, May 17, 2008, 10:27 AM [General]

After months of frustration, I finally got these 2 issues figured out and fixed. You are all going to love me, I'm sure.  :)

    1. Under each person's photo on their main profile page, it now says "Online now" if htey are currently logged in. I currently have no way of adding that information to YOUR page, so you can see all your friends or whatever, so you do have to visit a person's page to see if they are online. Still, quite a nice feature.

    2. I've changed how the blog posts are displayed and added better navigation. Each person's profile page now shows five latest posts instead of two. It makes for a longer page, but saves clicking around. At the bottom of each post, there are sometimes links like "First previous 1 2 3 next". They still don't work right. :)  BUT, and here is the nice addition.

At the top and bottom right hand corners of the center portion of the page (where the blogs are displayed) there is a little link that says "More". Clicking on that will bring you to the next page of blogs. Once you are on page 2, then there are navigation links at the very bottom left hand corner that say Next, 1,2,3,4,5 or whatever. So you can FINALLY navigate straight backward through time to read all a persons posts without having to go looking through the categories looking for the next post back.

I'm hoping my explanations are clear and that these changes make everything run smoother. If you can't find the links, let me know and I'll try to explain better.

    Link button is fixed

    Saturday, April 19, 2008, 01:22 PM [General]

I announced this a while ago, but Covenspacestuff had a feature that prevented people from copying the code. I have finally figured out how to turn that off, so that you can now copy any code from the description areas.  This really only applies to the button below, and any of the CSS layouts.

So now you can download the link code for this stylish little button thing, for placement on Myspace pages or any other web pages or profile things. Whatever. The code will automatically insert YOUR profile photo in there, but you need to put your username in the code, instead of where it currently says "pythia".

You can get the code from Covenspacestuff.com

I'm fairly new to coding and stuff, so I hope this makes sense and will work for everyone. Feel free to send a message to Pythia if you can't get it to work. I think it should be pretty straight-forward, providing you remember to use your own login name (in two spots).

So if you have a page somewhere, add a button and help promote the site.

    See who's chatting

    Thursday, March 20, 2008, 01:39 PM [General]

In an effort to revive the chat room, there is now a little box in your hub that tells you who is chatting. It's on the right, under the calendar.  It's a live list of users in the room at that moment. Keep an eye on it, and when you see one of your friends, go in and say hi.

If you are wondering what chat room I'm talking about, it's at http://chatroom.covenspace.com

You need to be a "friend" to the chatroom in order to see the login box.
