I don't know if something has changed in the coding or what, but I'm getting lots of reports about people busting their pages because of enormous profile photos. I think it used to size them down somewhat, but I'm not positive.
Please DO NOT CHOOSE A HUGE PHOTO FOR A PROFILE PIC. It's supposed to be around 120-200 pixels across, so don't choose one that is 2000 pixels. Don't assume that a large photo will just "fit". If you don't have a photo of the right size, please use one of the default photos until you have one that you can use.
Again, be careful when making changes to your profile photos. Do not use a large photo.
I'd like to add to that, PLEASE be cautious when using huge background pics or graphics too, I've had 2 accounts go down because of graphics that seemed to have a good size, and when I clicked "save" it was all over..lol
